Red Sky at Night, Shepherd's Delight

These pics were taken driving home from the ski hill Sunday evening. I always get a little bored on the drive and start experimenting with photography from the moving car. Snow Shoeing Finally

Winter finally seemed to arrive this weekend and there was enough snow to go snow shoeing around the base of the ski hill. We had an exhilarating day of snow shoeing for me, snow boarding for the boys and telemark skiing for Ian.
Sadly, the snow seems to be melting today so we'll just have to wait and see what this coming weekend has in store for us.

Bake Sale Cookies

Today my eleven year old son's class at school is having a bake sale to raise money for the Red Cross. Last night we baked cookies together. Simple shortbread cookies that he decorated with a little water icing and of course, Smarties! Yum!

Are you a Downton Abbey Fan?

At Christmas, I became somewhat addicted to the British series Downton Abbey. We watched the first season in a couple of days. Since then, Season 2 has been playing on PBS and every Sunday evening, I like nothing better than to settle down with a cup of tea and watch the latest installment in the British saga. Oh and Maggie Smith is priceless. Her one-liners leave me in stitches.
