Food, Glorious Food
While in the UK recently, we purchased last minute tickets to see the show "Oliver" in London. Given that we seem to have been eating way through the UK, the theme song "Food, Glorious Food" seemed appropriate. Actually, it was rather a case of the boys experimenting with foods they hadn't tasted before in Canada. Not necessarily healthy foods, but tasty!
We thought Tim Horton's had a huge assortment of donuts, but this vendor in Camden Market beat them!

No, girls love them too - I can vouch for it!

Flowers, gorgeous flowers.
I recently celebrated a birthday and was given some gorgeous flowers. Naturally, I couldn't resist capturing them. My husband gave me roses in a lovely variety of reds, pinks, yellows and oranges. A very good friend of mine, Johanna, sent me a stunning arrangement - a real work of art. I put both arrangements in my kitchen where I would see them all day. Loved them but sadly they're now starting to fade.

A Walk in the Country - Fotherby Top
Whilst staying with my aunt and uncle in the UK recently, my uncle decided to take us on a morning walk to Fotherby Top. We thought it would be a fun little half hour stroll but it turned out to be a 2 hour trek through the countryside, tiring but fun. The heat was quite a problem though and by the end of the walk my youngest son had stripped off his t-shirt in an effort to cool down. However, the long hot walk really made them appreciate a dip in the pool when we returned!

Thank You All So Much - My Goal Reached
A couple of years ago when I first started on Etsy, I made it a goal of mine to sell one item. I was overjoyed when that happened. I phoned my husband at work to tell him the good news. I was just so thrilled that someone would buy one of my pieces of jewelry.
I then decided my next goal would be to sell five hundred pieces and I'm so happy to tell you that I reached that magic number yesterday. It's certainly been extremely hard work but well worth the effort.
Thank you to all my customers for supporting me. To my repeat customers, it's a real honor to know that you're so pleased with the product that you've returned to the shop.
So with gratitude in mind, I thought I would feature some "Thank you" items once again found on Etsy.
ENJOY!

Transform a Wall With a Wall Decal
Lately I've been noticing a huge variety of wall decals on Etsy. I'm starting to look at some of the plain walls in my home and seeing how I could transform them completely with the addition of a wall decal - easy to apply and easy to remove. Once the boys are back to school in the Fall, I plan of repainting many of the rooms in the house so maybe I'll make use of one of these wall decals too!
Take a look at these lovely decals from Etsy.

UK Visit - Warwick Castle
The first weekend of our holiday in the UK was spent with my husband's extended family in Warwick, England. Warwick Castle is a famous visitor attraction there and since my youngest son has just finished studying medieval times at school, it was the perfect place to visit. The weather was perfect - warm and sunny and we spent most of the day there. We toured through all the rooms of the castle, plus walked around the walls and the grounds. We had a very comical guide enlighten us on the lifting of the castle gates which the boys enjoyed. We also bought tickets into the dungeon but had to make an early exit due to my son feeling very sick (it was a scary, stomach turning show that we weren't quite prepared for!). Of course, there were the descriptions of the ghastly torture methods used back then.
