I always have such good intentions when it comes to spring cleaning. Somehow though, my plans always seem to get waylaid. Possibly because I'm a busy stay at home mom trying to run a business from home? Oh I could find all kinds of excuses not to spring clean. Of course, I do the regular cleaning every week (oh joy!) but it's the getting rid of clothes that no longer fit, sorting out messy kitchen drawers, getting some sort of organization into the front cupboard that I'm talking about - I'm sure you know what I mean.
Last night, I got together with a few crafty friends (we've decided to meet once a month and inspire each other, maybe take some courses, teach each other etc.).
Our fearless leader mentioned a blog called SimpleMOM that is hosting a challenge of sorts that involves spring cleaning over five weeks. It's called Project Simplify and over five weeks (starting March 7th) we're challenged to spring clean hot spots in our homes. Each Monday the hot spot is revealed and on a Friday we post before and after photos on our BLOGS. Sounds like a good challenge to me!
So I'm going to run with it and see what I can get done in this house of mine (with two boys and a husband probably sabotaging my efforts at every turn).
Are you up to the Project Simplify challenge. Check it out here and let me know how you fair.
Tsh Oxenreider (the genius behind SimpleMOM) has written a book called Organized Simplicity
which will be the foundation for the project and could help you on your way.

Don't forget to post your before and after photos and show us the links to YOUR blog.
Great idea. I am in!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck Lisa :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really great idea but I don't like to clean...I would rather do just about anything.
ReplyDeleteFearless leader, ha :) I'm all ready to get started. Did you do your family statement? What a wonderful exercise! Looking forward to the results of the next 5 weeks, but I'm thinking my efforts will be equally sabotaged!
ReplyDeleteLee, I have to be realistic - the family statement may not happen....but I'm going to give it my best shot. I've won other battles here so you never know.
