Glamorous and Sophisticated Vintage Glass Jewel Earrings

Vintage jewelry is very popular right now and for good reason. The rich colors and sparkle of the vintage glass is alluring and striking. I've just recently added some more gorgeous designs to my shop, Jacaranda Designs. I listed a new posy bracelet today. I called it Wasabi because of the color of the floral beads (probably obvious!).

Lilac and Blooms

Today's Tuesday and I have a tons of tasks to get done. Looking through my todo list and feeling rather overwhelmed. My lower back is still really sore and I'm going nuts.

My husband started raking the old leaves off our flower beds yesterday and uncovered a world of small little seedling poking their way through to the sunlight. I love this time of year when the plants start coming alive.

Here's another photo of a gorgeous mauve flower I saw in Cuba. To complement, I've also included two pairs of earrings that reflect the floral theme.

Organized Chaos

Organized chaos is the only way to describe our household right now.  I have downed tools in terms of house cleaning for a couple of days to get some photography and jewelry making done. On Friday the boys start March beak so I'm going to be pretty busy here.  

I did manage to make this bracelet yesterday - glitzy and glamorous, it's made from Miyuki beads, crystals and sterling silver clasp.  It's a fast design and only took about an hour to make.  I've also been experimenting with attaching bails to briolettes. 

I was featured on the front page

I was very excited on Sunday evening to see one of my posy bracelets on the Etsy front page treasury.  I wish it happened more often!  This is the bracelet that was featured.  The Jacaranda Floral Locket Bracelet.

Charms Galore

You can buy charms in just about any shape you want these days making for some fun and interesting jewelry. Here are a few of my favourites...dragon flies, butterflies and woodland fairies. A couple of these I've paired with cubic zirconia.

Heading South - Maybe?

It's that time of the year when I begin to scour the prepackaged vacation websites looking for a March break escape, for a good price of course. As it's so grey and gloomy outside today I thought I'd post a few pics from our trip to mexico last year.
