Featured Artist and Giveaway - LifeInGeneral

This week I'm featuring the Etsy shop LifeInGeneral. I was drawn to these wonderful depictions of everyday emotions painted by Sherri. Read on to learn more about the artist behind these paintings and to enter the giveaway for one art card of your choice.



A little background: I was a latch key kid from the age of 7. Raised as an only child, I spent a ton of time alone... the end product was a slightly eclectic adult with a wildly inspiring imagination.

Why you love what you do: I am easily stressed out. Painting and crafts in general let me go inside my head and find a calm peaceful place. Especially if that place does not involve two screaming, yet beautiful little girls!



What inspires you: Honestly, just the drama of everyday life and the people that occupy it.

Favorite item in store: Probably Back Stabbed, though it is one of my first paintings and i have worked out my style since them, it is so full of truth and that Witty/cleverness is what I strive for all of my paintings to relay.



My Goals for 2010: TO NOT STRESS and be so tightly wound! We are in the process of moving and downsizing our life, so I am hoping that will bring a big change to my mental state. Even though I am positive this is just my personality and i might as well learn to use it for good :)
