My name is Amy and I am a wife and mother to 4 daughters. I am a SAHM/WAHM. My Business is Ozark Scents Candles. I am also involved in many school & extra curricular activities with my girls such as PTA. I am a member of 2 great Etsy teams Busy Moms of Etsy and WAH Moms & Dads of Etsy.

Sampler pack-- SOY BLEND-- 6-4oz jars-- You Choose Scents
Why you love what you do
I LOVE Scents... I have always been a HUGE candle junkie and along with being a "crafty" person, it just fits. I just love filling my home with whatever fragrance I am in the "mood" for! I also love having something that is mine and mine alone...it doesn't involve my kiddos or anything else, just me and my creativity. Another big factor in loving this is working with people...I have met so many wonderful, interesting people on Etsy.

What inspires you
Everything inspires me, life inspires me, especially all the little things in life that you will miss if you don't stop and pay attention to, like what the scent is in the air after it rains.

Jacaranda Designs September Giveaway - Dancing Flower Silver Earrings

Hello everyone!

Time for my giveaway of the month for September. This month's piece of jewelry for one lucky person is a pair of Dancing Flower Silver Earrings, valued at $18.50.

These lovely floral earrings are made from antique silver plated lead and nickel free metal. They are very light weight domed drops and are etched with an enchanting flower pattern.

Antique Silver; this quality finish uses real silver, and is expertly plated by one of the best platers in the industry. It is then antiqued to enhance the rich detail of the piece, and then finished with a protective lacquer to protect it from tarnishing. This color has a beautiful shine finish.

The earring wires are pure silver.

Freaky Friday

When we were in New York recently, we came upon this little shop in Soho called Evolution. It was full of weird and not-so-weird things that boys especially love to look at....skeleton, insects, shells to name just a few

Harvest Time

I've been digging through my vegetable garden, harvesting the remains of the summer as I think the frost will get to everything soon.

The basil has been wonderful for making pesto and the fresh tomatoes lovely with some course salt and olive sprinkled over.

But then there's these weird gourds that we certainly didn't plant, that turned into a jungle and smothered our cucumbers!

Corning Glass Museum - Well Worth The Visit!

On the way back from NYC to Toronto, we stopped overnight in Corning. My mother had mentioned that they had a wonderful glass museum there so we thought the following day we'd take a quick look around and then get back on the road.

Well, a quick look around turned into 5 hours! It was full of incredible glass creations, dating back 35 centuries. They also had glass vase making and glass breaking demonstrations which the boys really enjoyed.

My favourite section was the contemporary glass exhibit. I was able to take some photos, which you'll see below. The very last two photos are not as clear as I would have liked but I included them anyway as it was such a neat piece of art - a chess board and all the pieces all made out of glass.

To those amoung us, who are able to make these wonderful creations, I am in awe!
