Jacaranda Designs 5th Birthday Celebration
It's hard to believe that five years can fly by so quickly but on Oct 17th, Jacaranda Designs will be five years old!
I never dreamed that I would one day be making jewelry full time or that I would meet so many lovely people through Jacaranda Designs and become good friends with some of you.
And it's because of my loyal customers, yes, YOU, that the shop continues to grow and expand. Without incredible customers and friends, Jacaranda Designs wouldn't be nearly as successful!
The last five years have been extremely hard work but at the same time, so fulfilling. I remember when I had my 1000th sale, I was in a state of shock.
In celebration of Jacaranda Designs 5th birthday, I am going to be hosting a fabulous giveaway which will start on October 17th.
AND
I'll be having a flash sale on the 17th. I'm not going to post the details of it yet as that would ruin the surprise but you won't be disappointed.
Check back here on the 17th or follow me on Facebook as I'll be posting details there too.
Bye for now!

Flowers, gorgeous flowers.
I recently celebrated a birthday and was given some gorgeous flowers. Naturally, I couldn't resist capturing them. My husband gave me roses in a lovely variety of reds, pinks, yellows and oranges. A very good friend of mine, Johanna, sent me a stunning arrangement - a real work of art. I put both arrangements in my kitchen where I would see them all day. Loved them but sadly they're now starting to fade.

Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!!!!!
It was my youngest son's 9th birthday yesterday. He had a party last week, so yesterday was relatively quiet. They skiied all day and then came home to a raclette meal. For those of you who aren't familiar with raclette, it's a swiss cheese. You slice it up and each person grills their own cheese which they then eat with potatoes, fresh bread, ham..whatever you like. It's very social and lots of fun and the boys love it.
I made an ice cream cake by using vanilla and chocolate icecream and throwing in some crushed Skor bars and Malteasers. What a sugar fix! No junk food for me for the rest of this week. I love the candles I put in the cake. Can't remember where I bought them but they're so lovely and bright and burn for ages.

Who Doesn't LOVE Smarties!
It was my younger son's birthday party today. We had his friends over to play hockey outside, have lunch and of course, eat birthday cake. I made a simple chocolate cake, poured melted chocolate with a little cream mixed (to stop it hardening too much) and then covered it in Smarties. Of course, I ate some of those too! Yum!
