Making Macarons

Yesterday my sister came over for a few hours and gave me a second lesson in making macarons. These ones turned out really well. Pink with a chocolate ganache filling.

I hope to perfect making them on my own so I can package them as gifts for Christmas :)

Bake Sale Cookies

Today my eleven year old son's class at school is having a bake sale to raise money for the Red Cross. Last night we baked cookies together. Simple shortbread cookies that he decorated with a little water icing and of course, Smarties! Yum!
